Dr. Veneman grew up in Idaho. She attended University of Idaho, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development and Family Studies. She obtained her medical degree from Des Moines University and completed three years of specialty training in pediatrics at Greenville Children's Hospital, South Carolina. She has been adjunct faculty for four different medical schools, and has served as a pediatric medical consultant for Shriner's Hospital. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Rob. They have three sons (Kaleb, Ryan, and Zachary) and a daughter (Katelyn). She was inspired to go into pediatric medicine as a result of hearing the story of her own premature birth-she was almost three months early and weighed only two pounds. She and her husband fell in love with Whitefish as college students.
